Our Story

Dr. Parvin Rahman, PhD

Founder & President, Aparajito 24 Foundation

In July 2024, we watched from abroad with heartbreak and outrage as fearless young protesters rose up during the July Revolution, demanding justice, dignity, and freedom. They faced bullets, batons, and tear gas with nothing but courage, and many paid the ultimate price with their lives, their limbs, or their eyesight. The fall of the regime brought a surge of hope, but for the wounded heroes and the grieving families of the martyrs, the struggle was far from over. Moved by their immense resilience and inspired by those working tirelessly on the frontlines, we launched a sponsorship-based rehabilitation program. This was not an act of charity, but a deep commitment to justice and solidarity. These brave individuals fought not just for themselves, but for the future of Bangladesh and for the values we all share.

We owe them more than gratitude; we owe them action. In January 2025, we established the Aparajito 24 Foundation to carry this mission forward. Today, in collaboration with local partners, volunteer networks, and hospitals, we are working to rehabilitate the injured by providing medical and psychological support, livelihood training, and holistic family assistance.

In our first year, we have been humbled to support more than 50 survivors on their path to long-term rehabilitation— creating cascading positive effects for their families. We have also established eight nonprofit partnerships, including collaborations with the July Shaheed Smrity Foundation (JSSF), Bangladesh Legal Aid Services & Trust (BLAST), and DRIK. Each story of recovery reminds us why this work matters and why we must continue.

To everyone who has stood with us, our sponsors, donors, volunteers, and partners. Thank you for believing in the resilience of the human spirit. Your support transforms grief into growth and loss into a lasting legacy. Together, we are restoring lives, dignity, and hope, one story at a time. We will not stop until every wounded hero is healed, and every martyr’s family knows that their sacrifice truly lit the path to freedom.
