Mental Health Workshop : 03

On 22 January 2026, Aparajito 24 Foundation organized “Mental Health Workshop – 3” at Madhobi Lounge, Banani DOHS, Dhaka. 11 fighters injured in the July uprising participated in this session. Building upon our previous group initiatives, this workshop marked our very first structured, one-on-one individual psychiatric counseling session, designed to address deeply personal psychological concerns.

While group sessions offer shared comfort, certain traumatic experiences require private, individualized attention. To ensure a safe and confidential environment, this intensive 6-hour session (2:00 PM – 8:00 PM) was conducted by Dr. Abdullah Hasan, a renowned Psychiatrist from NYU Langone.

Under his expert guidance, each fighter received personalized consultations. The session focused on assessing the deep psychological impact of traumatic events, prolonged emotional distress, severe anxiety, and coping mechanisms. This one-to-one format allowed the participants to speak openly, establishing a profound sense of trust and validation that is vital for long-term healing.

Aparajito 24 Foundation has prioritized the mental well-being of July-injured fighters from the very beginning, and this journey continues with more tailored, individual interventions. Because we believe that true rehabilitation is not only physical, but mental too
